Well, it’s been a minute…

Summer was nice and busy, we’ve done quite a lot of back-of-house prep, wrote a bunch of songs and filled the deck with an ungodly amount of half-baked ones, plus quite a few new people (and some old friends) joined the circus. 

Fall (and up to now) was spent digging in a couple cans of worms we’d been kicking down the road for too long, namely :  

• getting ready to produce decent video content without it messing with the flow of writing/recording sessions,  
• figuring what we wanted to do — if anything — with social media, such as IG (hate it, but yes), TikTok (thanks, but no thanks for the time being), and Twitter (W&S on that one), 
• and for the piece de resistance, solve the bzns/legal puzzles of operating as a collective of free agents whilst
  
  
  • A) ensuring everybody gets a fair shake if we ever stop bleeding money (OK, drizzling, but still), and 
  • B) maintaining control and ownership of our content, and the freedom to release some under “free” CC license if we so desire, 
  • C) avoiding getting drawn and quartered by the state and Music Industry lobbies, thanks to local regulations which are both sorta well-meaning, and also utterly obsolete and calcified, as many things are in Frogland. 

…you can expect a wall of text of a postmortem on that sometime Soon™. 

Despite it not showing much yet, from the outside, we’ve ticked quite a few of those checkboxes, and are generally happy with where we’re at. 

We hope to start releasing new material this coming January, provided our contractual ducks finally line up properly. #FingersCrossed
