Episode Three

Toi du Monde (you of the world)— Sometimes it’s good to get caught.

[Since this onedoesn’t need much splainin’,
we’re just providing a rough translation
for those unfortunate few who can’t read
Froggish real good
— hint, it’s not about an astronaut, really.]

Wherever I look, from atop the world,
whatever I believe, try, or might.
Wherever I stand, whatever I’m looking at, (I see)
clues of you everywhere, from atop the world.

From the start I said it : that’s not for me. I’m good on my own, plus I don’t know a thing.
No chain, no ball, for me, no siree : then you happened, and the world rolled on (…thusly 🙂

Wherever I look, from atop the world,
whatever, I believe, try or might.
Wherever I stand, whatever I’m looking at,
I make out clues of you, from atop the world.

I forded streams, I burned all the bridges, scaled mountains and crawled out of ditches :
from fall to winter, and through long summers, I roamed, I strayed, and plumbed depths… (and then)

Anywhere : you — from atop the world
…are in my view, try as I might,
Wherever you are, is where my gaze lands…
to find the one, who makes my world.

You make me better, as I do what I can, and we grow together, off-beat and to the sides.
From mistake to laughter, we’re inching forward, and I’ll have done my share by the time we part.

Wherever I look, from atop the world,
whatever I believe, try or might.
Wherever I stand, or what I’m looking at, (I see)
echoes of me, in this world that is yours.
